Understanding Awards and Points

CareerSeat awards and objectives are designed to provide employees with clear recognition and measurable goals throughout the year. Points are earned by completing objectives, winning awards, or receiving peer recognition. These points contribute to both monthly and annual leaderboards, creating transparency and encouraging healthy competition across organisations.

Each award cycle is capped by company-wide quotas, ensuring that awards remain scarce and meaningful. Monthly cycles reset at the end of each calendar month, and annual cycles reset at the end of each year (based on the London timezone). Organisations can choose to set incentives for leaderboard placement, motivating employees to compete with themselves and their colleagues to achieve more.

Why Awards Matter

Awards are not just symbolic — they represent proof of effort and achievement. By standardising awards across organisations and tying them to a transparent points system, CareerSeat ensures that recognition is fair, visible, and lasting. Employees can build a track record of success, while HR and leadership teams gain measurable insights into both individual and team performance.

Employees are motivated to regularly check back, track their standing, and work towards higher achievements. Managers, meanwhile, have the tools to reward excellence on a consistent and transparent basis. The end result is a workplace culture where recognition and competition drive growth for both employees and organisations.
